COAS was founded in 1987 by Bas and Evert de Blok in Stellendam, The Netherlands. We started with building complex custom software systems for Foods factories as the main activity.
The hardware division COAS Business Systems was started, as a spin off, for the regional market. Here we advise and sell hardware infrastructure and software office supplies like printers, faxes and networks. In 1998 an offshore development center was founded in Hyderabad. This offshore development center implements large parts of the software and hosts software engineers for third parties. This activity is now operated under the independent brand coMakeIT.
In 2007 COAS was 20 years in business. Within that time we've seen numerous technologies come by and becoming obsolete. From single user MS-DOS applications with proprietary databases to windows based client/server systems to webapplications with thousands of users.
