January 2012, Stellendam — Mobility Concept has selected COAS Software Systems to build their innovative web based mobility platform to redefine business travel. The software will be offered as a service to organisations and supports the consultancy given by Mobility Concept. The system contains a variety of experience and knowledge of Mobility Concept and the software can be configured to model all mobility needs within an organisation.

“Our web-based mobility platform takes a central place in everything we do!” says Robert van der Schaaf. Employees get an easy accessible overview of all driving data, mobility costs and even CO2 emissions. This information makes people more aware of the costs incurred and gives the employer the opportunity to manage these costs and will make it possible to offer and manage a personal mobility budget for each employee.

Mobility Concept has developed an extensive specification of all features and functionality in the system and asked COAS to design a generic and flexible system. COAS has a proven track record in generic system design and is able to work in close cooperation with Mobility Concept to deliver the overall system in an agile manner.

Mobility Concept is a young company, launched in 2011, that is specialised in organising business mobility between employer and employee.Their foundation is an extensive experience in leasing, mobility schemes and tax issues, from various positions and angles. They work on behalf of the executive management of medium and large organisations.

COAS Software Systems — COAS builds custom software development solutions for national and international clients. We have a broad range of skills to solve logistics, knowledge, information and integration problems and capable of giving after care for business critical systems. We have a good track record in the foods, pet foods, snack foods, home & personal care, rental and healthcare business and we have the people that are able to quickly grasp new knowledge domains.

This week we’ve got the order to implement a Pallet Labeling software solution for finished and semi-finished goods in two factories in South Africa. The scope for this project has been set after a site visit in June and the goal is to replace a number of the the existing software systems and to have a better alignment with the current business needs, factory hardware and ERP systems.

The delivery is scheduled end 2011 to early 2012.

COAS Software Systems develops, maintains and supports dedicated software solutions for the fast moving consumer goods industry. Since its inception COAS has focused on long lasting end user value through generic data modeling and configurable systems to support changing organisations. Only through a deep understanding of the business logic and required flexibility, systems can be designed for future change with no or a very limited impact on the technicalities.

The first quarter has been very busy for us with 4 major of system deliveraries:

Very successful rollout of an interface to JDA/Manugistics with our packaging and transport planning system in Eastern Europe. According to the projectmanager: “Collaboration between us and COAS was one of the most efficient parts of the project. That’s my strong personal view, and it was confirmed by consistent feedback in the review!”

Implemented a system to plan logistics, production and transport in two UK sites producing premium brands in Snackfood and Petfood. The system is fully integrated with the factory dispatch, forklifts and ERP systems.

Rollout of a project management tool to cover safety and quality for product developers. The webbased system covers product development and optimisation modules for various area’s including Ecotoxicology, Microbiology, Sustainability, Toxicology,… The regional rollout covers R&D laboratories in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Rollout of inter-company invoicing system to 35 sites worldwide. This is a Client/Server solution and deployed on local desktops.

October 6th, Putten — Bert Huisman, Director and Partner of InnoQare and Janco Tanis, Managing Director of COAS Software Systems, signed a full service software contract for the development, maintenance, support and hosting of Qarina. Qarina is a web-based system, developed on the VitalHealth platform. The system is used to control processes and logistics of individual patients in healthcare organisations and uses the Theory of Constraints to find the most significant constraints that cause delays in the treatment of patients.

“Since COAS takes care of all the technicalities, we can totally focus on our expertise: helping hospitals to give patients maximum quality care in a minimum stay.” — Ton van Werkhoven, Partner InnoQare

By focussing on the appropriate execution of care delivery, the InnoQare approach delivers substantial performance improvements, e.g. 20% or more reduction of length of stay. A next release of Qarina will expand the methodology to include the management of quality objectives on the patient level, like the prevention of decubitus (bedsores) and undernourishment, etc. Quality issues are a major cause of unnecessary delays in patient treatments.

Evert de Blok, Business Development Manager COAS Software Systems concluded “With Qarina high quality professionals are supported to implement procedures only to avoid non-quality and unnecessary delays”.

InnoQare - InnoQare coaches healthcare organisations to drastically improve their performance based on the proven results of the Theory of Constraints (TOC). This allows for a significant improvement on the duration and quality of the patient treatment. InnoQare shows a continuous improvement within organisations. We apply a pragmatic approach, focussing on the daily work of healthcare professionals instead of writing long reports; we work with our clients to find the weakest link in the organisation - the cause of most delays in most patients / clients; and learn how the underlying causes of a delay can be detected and what actions should be taken to eliminate these delays.

VitalHealth Software - VitalHealth Software is a joint venture between the Mayo Clinic (US) and the Noaber Foundation (NL), it delivers web-based software solutions for health management and focuses on disease management, health network management and personal health management. They provide disease management solutions for Diabetes, COPD-Asthma, Cardio Vascular Risk Management, Schizophrenia, Multiple Sclerosis, Obesity and others. The model-driven software platform - the VitalHealth Platform, is used by a growing network of partners to realize 4th and 5th generation EMR’s, all around the world.
